Welcome Dinner and Luxury Hotels
Coco Golfs Annual Golden Triangle Tour is a favourite amongst some of our regular visitors. With Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai hosting some of Thailand’s finest Golf courses, and great things to see and do in perfect weather conditions, this is the ultimate holiday escape.
In 2015 we hosted Golfers and Golf Club managers from around the UK, lots of new friends were made along way and some old familiar faces returned, one being ex Top of The Pops/Radio 1 Host Ed “Stewpot” Stewart. Ed brings a wealth of humour to the Coco Golf Tours and theres never a dull moment on and off the Golf Course.
With a choice of great Hotels in Chiang Mai some of our guests stayed at the Rachamankha Hotel and others at the Chiang Mai Orchid, both boasting great comfort, luxury and style with easy access to all the great sights of the city.

Royal Chiang Mai & Summit Green Valley
The first round of Golf was held at Royal Chiang Mai. This course is set amongst beautiful mountain scapes with a huge white Buddha statue overlooking the course. A truly unique Thailand Golf experience. Our guests had a great day at this course all scoring relatively well. A nice start to the tour.
The following day we escorted our guests to Summit Green Valley. As we entered the club house there was no doubt this course was in pristine condition and with a beautiful view overlooking the course of lakes and fountains set against the lush green fairways everyone was keen and excited to hit the first tee off.

After some great Golf and Leisure in Chiang Mai it was time to travel to Chiang Rai. We made our way via the Coco Golf Mini Buses past scenic mountains and Rivers, a few stops along the way for refreshments and a Buffett Lunch and finally reaching a point where we boarded small boats. The boats took us through breathtaking views of lush green mountains, past local villages of local children playing in the water and Elephants and Buffaloes in their natural environment. We reached a small village where we spent some time looking at market stalls of local hand made crafts and fabrics. Some of the boys got their photo taken with a giant snake and then we boarded the mini busses and travel a few minutes into town where we checked into the luxurious Chiang Rai Wiang Inn.Travel to Chiang Rai
We had 2 days of toured sight seeing in Chiang Rai led by our wonderful tour guide Sandy who had great experience and knowledge to share with the group along the way. The Tour included a trip to the Golden Triangle view point where you can see Loas, Mynamar and Thailand, we crossed the border into Mynamar and walked through the markets, toured the Opium Museum, rode Elephants and visited the Magnificent White Temple in Chiang Rai. Great food and plenty of photo opportunities along the way, the golden triangle tour is a very cultural experience and a great addition to the golf in Thailand.White Temple / Mynamar / Elephants / Opium Museum & more

Santiburi Golf Course Chiang Rai
Santiburi is a stunning golf course and rated in the top 5 in Asia, many of the group couldn’t get enough of Santiburi and spent multiple visits to this course during our stay in Chiang Rai. The club house has a great atmosphere and overlooks much of the course, the delicious menu and fine choice of beer had our guests relaxing and enjoying the view after their round of golf.

Golf at Mae Jo and Gassan Khuntan in Chiang Mai
After a great time in Chiang Rai we headed back to Chiang Mai and played some great golf at Mae Jo and Gassan Khuntan. Both courses offering something different to the tour to give our guests some great variety to the golfing experience in Thailand.
Farewell Party and Award Presentaion
Coco Golf company director Simon holds the Golden Triangle end of Tour party at his private residence in Chiang Mai. A beautiful setting and atmosphere accompanied by delicious food and drinks served on the house. This is always a great event and a special treat. The celebrations of Chinese new year had fireworks lighting up the sky over head, the music was flowing and we were treated to some live acoustic music by one of the Coco Golf staff. A big congratulations to Top Scorers Ian Muir & Sanrda Barnett (see full results below.) Some great prizes given to some of the top scorers on the tour and dancing and drinks went well into the night. Great friends were made by all. 2015 Golden Triangle tour was a great success and we welcome our guests to come back again soon!

Day 1 Welcome Diner / Day 2 Golf at Muang Kaew
In January 2015 Coco Golf Hosted the Bangkok – Khao Yai Golf Tour. This Tour seen 12 Golfers from abroad travel to Thailand to experience some of the busy Bangkok City and the very quiet and peaceful country town of Khao Yai.
On Day 1 guests were picked up from Bangkok airport and checked into the luxurious Chaophya Park hotel were Coco Golf hosted the welcome dinner. The next morning was the first round of Golf at the Muang Kaew Golf Club in Bangkok. This course is one of Bangkoks finest and was in perfect condition. Wildlife was flowing abundantly with plenty of native birds and even large monitor Lizards spotted crossing the fairways. Great scores were had by all and a great start to the tour!
Later that evening the Coco Golf Mini bus escorted our guests to Bangkoks busy Pad Pong Market where they enjoyed a mix of shopping and drinks at the bars.
Day 3 Drive to Khao Yai / Day 4 Golf at Khao Yai Golf Club
Set away from the busy main roads of the city, The Chaophya Park Hotel is a great place to Relax while in Bangkok. On the morning of Day 3 some of our guests enjoyed a swim in the pool and made use of great gym facilities followed by a beautiful Buffett breakfast.
We checked at 11.30am for a leisurely drive to Khao Yai arriving at the Balios Hotel and a meal together at a Local Steak House.
Khao Yai is a great destination if you are wanting to disconnect from the fast paced busy life and spend time relaxing and enjoying some great golf.
Our first round in Khao Yai was at the Khao Yai Golf Club and conditions were perfect. Our guests commented on the quality of the course in particular the greens and the overall picturesque mountain views. A great day had by all.
Later that evening we enjoyed a delicious meal a small restaurant called the Witches Brew which had a menu of Authentic Thai and western dishes.
Day 5 Day of Lesuire - Diner at Vino / Day 6 Khao Yai National Park
No Golf was scheduled on Day 5 but a couple of the guys decided to head to one of the Local Golf Clubs for an extra round, all transport was taken care of by our great driver Ched in the Coco mini bus. The others relaxed by the pool at the Hotel and strolled the Palio Village Market. Later that evening we dined in style at The beautiful Italian Vino Restaurant. Fine wine was on the menu and some soulful Jazz performed by a duo.
The next day was a big adventure at the Khao Yai National Park. Our tour guide took us through winding foot trails to explore monkeys and birds. Wild Elephants and Gibbons were roaming through the Park and heard only meters away as the tour guide kept us in a safe zone. Parts of the tour took us to where the forest opened up to magnificent landscapes and breathtaking mountain views. A stop for lunch along the way. This was truly a special journey experienced by all.
Day 7 Exclusive Access to Private Golf Course
Day 7 was a real special treat. A private Golf Course hidden away in the valleys of Khao Yai had given Coco Golf Exclusive Access for the day.
Amazing mountain views and scenery and a pristine Golf Course and the round of Golf accompanied by some outstanding Caddies this was a Royal treatment for a guests. Check out the pictures to see for yourself.
Day 8 Mountain creek
Waking up at the Balios Hotel every morning was always a treat. The beautiful smiles and greeting of the friendly staff and the wide range of tasty food at the Buffett breakfast was always a great start to the day. Day 8 we headed to the Magnificent Mountain Creek Golf Course. The first thing I noticed about this course was the abundance of space. The exquisitely designed club house had huge lookout points extending across the whole building overlooking the fairways. A great place to dine and enjoy a beer after the round of Golf. The course itself was in great shape and offered a great variety of challenges keeping things interesting the whole way through.
Day 9 Day of Leausire / Day 10 & 11 Golf at Rancho Charnvee Country Club
A couple of the boys decided to go for another round of Golf on the Day off which was arranged by Coco Golf and transport all catered for.
The rest of the group enjoyed the Hotel Facilities and a stroll through the Palio Market next door. That evening the Hotel invited us to their annual Party with Live Entertainment and complimentary food and drinks.
Day 10 was time to experience Thailand Golf Tours at its finest! The ever popular Rancho Charnvee, an Epic Golf Course with a unique landscape.
Driving in the first thing you notice is the huge Lake with a massive boat nestled in the centre of the Course. Rancho was rated the best course of the Tour by the Majority of the group. The caddies were full of smiles and helpful information for the golfers and great scores were performed by all on the day.
Day 11 Everyone was happy and buzzing ready to return for another round at Rancho Charnvee!
Day 12 Bangkok Adventure Tour and Farewell Dinner
After the last round at Rancho Charnvee The Coco Golf Mini Busses escorted the group back to the Chaophya Park Hotel in Bangkok where we spent 2 nights. The Saturday we enjoyed a tour of Bangkok’s Temples complete with history talk given by an experienced Tour guide along the way. A beautiful boat ride through the Bangkok river past traditional Thai Houses, Temples and Floating Market. Later that night we met for Dinner at the Lovely Chaophya Park Restaurant for a Farewell Dinner, Simon gave out Awards to the high scoring Golfers of the Tour.

January Tour 2015 – Hua Hin
Coco Golf’s January Thailand Golf Tour Kicked off this year on the 13th of Jan. We had 24 Golfers from different parts of the UK, Spain and the US join us this year. Our Guests stayed at the Luxurious Wora Bura Hotel and enjoyed the great atmosphere that Hua Hin provides both during the day and night. Hua Hin is the venue for our annual escorted January Tour and this year its excellent courses delivered some great Golf and good times were had all round!
Big Congrats to Nigel Stubbs who Nailed a Hole in 1 at Imperial Lake View on the first day. Nigel also took out first place overall for the tour.

January 2015 seen 16 members of The Shipley Golf Club in Bingley UK visit Thailand for an exciting Coco Golf adventure tour.
We welcomed The Shipley Crew at Bangkok Airport where they were escorted to Hua Hin in 3 Coco Golf mini buses and checked in to Luxury Accommodation at the Wora Bura Hotel Resort.
The First Day of Golf kicked off with perfect conditions at Palm Hills Golf Course.
Palm Hills is set against a beautiful backdrop of Petchaburi’s mountain range with some amazing views of the Gulf of Thailand.

Day 3 Golf at The Imperial Lake View
After an amazing first day of Golf the guys looked excited to experience some more great Golf in Thailand and Lake view delivered another sensational day of golf. The Shipley crew were picked up at their hotel by the Coco Golf mini buses and taken to The beautiful Imperial Lake View Golf Course in Hua Hin where they Tee’d off at 11am. Lake View was designed by Roger Packard in 1993, the course is truly absorbing. with rolling fairways and spectacular mounds surrounding the greens. Beautiful fauna and birds surrounding the course made for a visually appealing and therapeutic experience. The guys enjoyed a meal and drinks after the Golf and a few had a challenge at table tennis. A great day enjoyed all round.
Day 5 Golf at Black Mountain
After a day off from Golf the Shipley crew were looking refreshed and ready for another Golf in Thailand experience and what better way to do it, than at Thailand’s number one Golf course Black Mountain! The excitement was building as we drove the guys from their Hotel. They had read the stories they had seen the pictures, now it was time to experience it first hand. The group commented on how much they enjoyed their time at this course. The greens felt true and some personal bests of the tour were attained at this course. Black Mountain is a spectacular golf course designed by Australian Phil Ryan & measures 7,345 yards from the championship tees. It is constructed with the intention of using the area’s natural terrain, cleverly using the streams, trees & rock formations to create a golfing masterpiece.
Day 6 Adventure and Sightseeing / Night stay at Sai Yoke Floatel
After a good run of Golf in Hua Hin it was time to take the Shipley Golf Club on an Adventure to experience some amazing Thailand culture. We treated our new friends to a real surprise as most of them didn’t know what to expect. First stopping at an authentic Coconut village that hand make coconut oils, sugars and other products. Continuing on and driving through Thailand’s majestic landscapes, stopping for food and refreshments along the way and eventually arriving at a place where we board small boats. The boats take us on a cruise downstream past large buddhists statues and through jungle into the magical Damnoen Floating Market, one of Thailand’s last original authentic floating markets. We spend some time shopping and some enjoyed a beer by the river soaking in the great atmosphere. The next part of the journey took us to a delicious buffet lunch in Kanchanaburi followed by a visit to see some Royal Thai Hancrafted wood sculptures and furniture and finally to the famous River Kwai Railway bridge. We all took the time to get some great photos and take in the breathtaking sights before finally arriving at our destination The Sai Yoke Floatel. A picturesque unique hotel built on the river, this is truly an experience like no other and the group enjoyed plenty of drinks and good times well into the night.
Day 7 More Adventure and Sightseeing
Waking to the sound of the river passing underneath and the birds singing in the jungle set the scene for a great day ahead. After breakfast and some relaxing by the river it was eventually time to leave and take a trip to experience some of Thailand’s history at Hellfire Pass. A peaceful 300 meter walking trail through a man made valley built many decades ago took us to see the memorial and a talk on its history from our tour guide. Later followed by a ride on the train through mountainous terrain and breathtaking views to arrive at another Thai style buffet lunch. Other highlights along the way was a stop at a picturesque waterfall, a drive through a group of monkeys, sights of temples and one dancing scorpion. Our final destination for the day – Pattaya. Where we would spend the next few days playing some more of Thailand’s Great Golf Courses!
Day 10 Golf at St Andrews followed by Tiffany’s Show
After a weekend of spending time relaxing at their hotels and treating themselves to Thailand’s amazing massages the group were ready to experience Golf in Pattaya at the beautiful St Andrews Golf Course. We picked up the Shipley crew from thier lovely Woodlands Resort nice and early at 9.15am and had them at the course ready to Tee off at 10.44. St Andrews was designed by Desmond Muirhead and is an 18 hole (Par 74) course. Including some virtual replicas of famous signature holes. The group thoroughly enjoyed St. Andrews and put it at as one of their top picks of the tour!
Later that evening we picked up the group from the Woodlands Hotel and took them to The World Famous Tiffany’s Show! The atmosphere was buzzing as we drove in to see the glitz and glamour as the Stars of the show were posing for photographs and meeting and greeting guests as they arrived. Tiffany’s Show Pattaya is the Original Transvestite Cabaret Show in Pattaya, and is now in its 40th year. Tiffany’s Show Pattaya is a Spectacular World Class Show visited by audiences from all corners of the world as was voted number 4 in the TOP TEN BEST SHOWS to see around the world.
Day 11 Golf at Burapha
Golf at Burapha kicked off at 10am, and was an exquisite course thoroughly enjoyed by the group. The guys commented on the quality of the greens and the great work done by the caddys at this course. As they offered some great knowledge, advice and had a good laugh and fun with the group along the way.
Day 12 Dinner at La Ferme Restaurant Woodlands
The group enjoyed another relaxing day of massages and shopping in Pattaya and met that evening at La Ferme Restaurant located at the Woodlands Hotel. La Ferme is a French Brasserie/Bistro style restaurant with a relaxed, upscale setting. Serving a mix of French, Belgian and Asian food. Mike gave a presentation and prizes included Golf Bags and Tags donated by Coco Golf. Val Exley won first prize in the Ladies and Baxter Lane won first prize in the men.
Day 13 Golf at Laem Chabang
With a flight scheduled to depart from Bangkok for later in the day the group decided to get to the Laem Chabang nice and early to get in their final day of Golf. What a great way to finish off the tour at such an exceptional course! Laem Chabang was designed by Jack Nicklaus and is one of the finest courses in Asia. The group ended on a high and enjoyed a beautiful meal and drinks together in the bistro of the club. We had the group at Bangkok airport later that day ready for their flight home. Great friendships were made and magic memories by both The Shipley Golf Club and Coco Golf along the tour.

We have so many memories of the Pattaya area, magical Santiburi in the north as part of the Triangle Tour and our last visit was the icing on the cake. We loved fabulous courses in Hua Hin, particularly The Banyan and Black Mountain. Of course it’s not just the terrific courses, the hotels, glorious beaches and restaurants. It is that welcome in The Land of Smiles and great company, meeting new and old friends on the tours. I have been on many trips with Coco Golf both with our own group and singly. All trips have been very social and everybody easy to get on with. I have found all the chosen locations to be excellent with a selection of hotels to suit all tastes. The golf courses are always in excellent condition. The locations are varied and usually linked which means you can choose the length of your holiday and benefit from several different Thai towns. Last minute requests to Coco Golf never seem to fluster; and have always been fulfilled! Coco Golf staff are good the drivers always helpful and prompt.
I am not sure what else you could ask for!

Nothing is ever too much for the team, we were looked after by Chi this year and he was unbelievably helpful, even down to getting our laundry done for us.
The transport between destinations was seamless and on one occasion very exciting ( a lovely river trip), all in all I would always recommend Coco Golf to anyone and have actually done so quite a few times already.
The best thing about Coco Golf is that you get exactly what you ask for Simon has always taylor made our holidays for us, although we have never been on one of his Golf Tours with large groups we have in the past joined some of them to play Golf a couple of times and they have all told us what a wonderful time they were having. Having now returned from our 7th (or is it 8?) Golf tours with Coco Golf we are just mailing you to say “Thanks to all at Coco for a super holiday…. again!”. This year we did the “River Kwai Tour” for the second time and really enjoyed the 12 day tour. From the moment we touched down at Bangkok until we left it was a true “Holiday”. Great Golf courses, friendly competitive ( but not intense) golf competitions, lots of options available for “non” golf days and good advice from the Coco staff on restaurants, things to do and see. As you are aware you arranged an additional week for us in Hua Hin which really rounded off a super holiday.

I have been taking a group of Aussie golfers to Thailand every year since 1997, we are very fortunate to have Simon from Cocogolf handle all of our arrangements in Thailand. We have always been looked after well by Simon and his staff and would never consider using anyone else. If golfing in Thailand I would suggest only using Coco Golf, they are the best!

We had a brilliant time both while in Chiang Mai and also on our other part of the holiday.
The golf was excellent and although I had been so nervous about it before I really enjoyed it. We both thought all three courses were brilliant. It was an added bonus for us to be playing with Nigel!

Just a quick e-mail to thank you and the team for yet another successful golfing trip. As usual, everything went without a hitch, and we all had a very enjoyable time. We have now used Coco Golf for many years, and each trip has always been meticulously organised. 15 years ago when we both retired it gave us the opportunity of joining escorted Golf Tours to the Far East. We cannot find a better operator than Coco Golf for service and value for money. We have tried other Tour Operators but always come back to Coco where we have been on all of their Thailand Tours. We now class Simon the M.D. as a personal friend and look forward to seeing him again on two of his tours in January and February 2015.
My friends and I have used Coco Golf on several occasions on our visits to Thailand and we have found Simon and the drivers to be excellent. On the many occasions we have needed help and advise they have always been there and ready to help and assist even on non golfing matters. Just wanted to say thank you for a holiday experience that Ian and I will never forget. As I have just emailed to Lee, our usual holidays these days are European, quiet golfing holidays with Italy being our firm favourite, Thailand therefore was such a contrast!!
We had such good fun and experienced things that we would never have done had we travelled to Thailand on our own. The golf courses were beautiful, in particular Black Mountain and Laem Chabang Another highlight for us was the whole River Kwai trip, the floating market on the long boats, and the Floatel was amazing, being towed down the river complete with your table of food & beer – something to remember and definitely one for my holiday scrapbook. We found the museum and Hellfire Pass to be humbling, having read various POW accounts before we travelled, to see it made it all very real.
The Mini bus tour operators were superb and we wish to thank Somchai & Ched in particular. Not only was he kind and helpful during our stay, he was truly fantastic with Ian who was quite poorly on our journey home and was ill several times on the way to the airport. Somchai was so kind and understanding and we would like to send our grateful and heartfelt thanks to him. It was a very long journey home for Ian but he’s making a good and speedy recovery.

This was my 5th golf trip with Coco Golf to Thailand and although I usually travel as part of a larger group of golfers this was the first time I had ever been there on my own.
I have to say it never felt like I was on my own due to the friendliness and camaraderie amongst the golfers who take part in these tournaments.
Your Team clearly have a wealth of experience in organising these golfing events. You took care of every aspect of the trip from the Hotel, transport and provided great quality golf courses that were in superb condition. (Even organised my laundry – thanks to Somchai)
I would have no hesitation in recommending Coco Golf to anyone who is contemplating a Golf Trip to Thailand, where the only responsibility you will have is to remember your golf clubs!
