Restaurants in Pattaya:

Thai Food

Thai House Situated on the North Pattaya Road just after City Hall, on the way into town, this has an extensive menu plus a Thai Culture Show. It is a very large restaurant – there is no need to book

The Sugar Hut In idyllic setting outside town to the south, upmarket Thai Food – needs to be booked and transport arranged.

P I C Kitchen Same owner as the Sugar Hut, and virtually the same menu, this restaurant is very popular and has been established more than 20 years. It is located in Soi Four, which is midway between Pattaya North Road and Pattaya Central Road.

Sea Food

Fishing Park Excellent value, situated on Third Road, between North and Central Pattaya. Large open style restaurant, gets fairy busy – well worth a visit. Thai Food and Seafood.

Bang Saray Probably the best seafood restaurant in the region, it is located around 15 kilometres south of Pattaya on its own pier. Worth the trek, but do book and arrange transport – extremely good value.

Nang Nual There are 2 in Pattaya, one on Jomtien that is quieter and a little cheaper. The main one in Pattaya is on the strip on both sides of the road, very large and very busy. – our preference would be the one on Jomtien Beach

English

Pig & Whistle Located in Soi 7 – probably one of the best English Pubs for Pub Food in Thailand, generous portions and good value.

YORKIES Located on Jomtien a few doors down from Nang Nual, excellent home cooked English Food, home dry cured Bacon and Ham, Mecca for some of the British expats

Nicky’s Located on Soi Buakao, excellent English Food, one of the best Sunday Roasts in town, recommended

Chinese

Marco Polo Situated in the Montien Hotel, this is an excellent authentic Chinese Restaurant, very highly rated

The Empress This luxurious top Chinese Restaurant is situated in the Dusit Resort Hotel. Not cheap but worth a visit

Nam Sing New in town, part of a group from Hong Kong. Has some of the best Chinese Food to be sampled anywhere, large menu and everything from Sweet and Sour Prawns, to Sharks Fin Soup and Suckling Pig. Located on second road near to Royal Garden Plaza, on the left hand side travelling north.

Italian

Little Italy Nice small restaurant opposite the Royal Garden, the proprietor has been in Pattaya many years – a good alternative for a small group.

Pan Pan A well-designed restaurant situated on its own plot with parking on the outskirts of town near to Jomtien Beach. Opened about 12 years it is consistent with good food.

Da Tizianos New Italian Restaurant, menu and food highly rated, opposite to Tiffanys Show in Drinking Street

Irish

Shenanigan’s Situated opposite to the Royal Garden, this Irish Pub offers an excellent menu, also draught Guinness and Kilkenny available but at a price, live music most days.

International

Cherries Located on Third Road, needs to be booked probably the best value in Pattaya, superb International Food from a talented Chef

Hans Newly opened this restaurant is tastefully decorated and well fitted out. Excellent well thought out menu, real quality and Hans is an excellent host.

Manhattans New in 2006 probably the best Steakhouse & International Food is located on Thapparaya Road in Pattaya, on the pricey side for Thailand but this is a classy International Restaurant in stylish settings so its still excellent value

Mata Hari Mata Hari sits adjacent to Manhattans and offers an original and consistently good menu, moving from downtown Pattaya to this excellent new premises in mid 2006 – great value and excellent food

Paradise Opposite the Royal Garden Hotel on Second Road. Excellent menu and food, and very good value for money.

Bruno’s Now in new premises opposite to Pan Pan on the way to Jomtien. Sadly Bruno has passed away, but the tradition continues. Superb International Cuisine with 5 Star service

The Grill Room The Grill Room at the Royal Cliff has an excellent menu with matching décor and service. Best to book in advance, this is a top place, the price reflects that.

El Toro Good steaks are not that easy to find in Thailand, El Toro is probably the most consistent steak house in Pattaya situated opposite the Royal Garden on Second Road.

Benihama The “Japanese American Steakhouse” fresh food cooked in front of you with showmanship. On the second floor of the Royal Garden Plaza. Well worth a visit – moderate pricing for Thailand but cheap compared to equivalent in the UK

Sizzlers This chain restaurant has been in Pattaya many years, but is new to the list, but with consistent improvements it has become a very good dining venue and well worth a visit. The eat as much as you like Salad Bar takes some beating.

Indian

Sher E Punjab Situated on Beach Road past Soi 6, this restaurant offers good Indian Food for a fair price

Ali Baba On Central Road between the beach and Second Road – opposite Nova Lodge, one of the most established Indian Restaurants in Pattaya

These are but a few of the thousands (yes thousands) of eating places in Pattaya, most are on the list by customer recommendation. So please feel free to recommend a place that you have discovered and think worthy to join this list.

Our current favourite is the Han’s for evening dining (though a trifle pricey) and Cherries takes some beating for quality plus value – and if not having lunch at the golf course how about SIZZLERS Salad Buffet for a 119 baht lunch!!

Coco Golf will be happy to book you a table at any of the above and arrange your transport, please phone Somchai on 0841124834 or Simon on 0818623674
